Senior Product Manager for Licensing at Vistex
Jon Robinson is a Senior Manager and Principal Architect for Licensing at Vistex. For more than 30 years, he has focused on financial and royalty systems for the merchandise licensing industry. His work now extends into media production and distribution, technology licensing, and other intellectual property (IP) and royalty-based sectors.
Throughout his career, Jon has designed software for entertainment, corporate, and retail companies, as well as government organizations. He has led the design, development, and implementation of Vistex’s licensing platform for more than 100 licensing companies, including many on the Fortune 500. Customers and Vistex associates alike consider Jon to be a leading authority on licensing best practices.
Jon has served on multiple rights licensing and royalty processing thought leadership panels for such trade organizations as the Society of Product Licensors Committed to Excellence (SPLiCE) and the International Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association (LIMA), now Licensing International. He has also presented multiple times at VISTAS, Vistex’s annual summit. His insights and perspectives have been featured in several licensing industry trade publications, including The Licensing Letter.
Before Vistex, Jon created accounting software for retail operations and developed communications and radar software for the U.S. Air Force. He holds a degree in Computer Engineering from the University of the Pacific School of Engineering.
