Job Spec:

Our Client in Stellenbosch requires a SAP Master Data Analyst  for a permanent role. The successful candidate will support business and IT operations through administration, monitoring and analysis of master data and master data relationships.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Grade 12

Ideal Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or degree (e.g. BCom, BSc)


  • Ensure master data integrity in SAP systems as well as maintaining the processes to support the data quality
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining master data for the SAP landscape – GL, Controlling objects, Material, Customer, Vendor, Assets, etc.
  • Role will support developing and improving master data management to increase operational efficiency, strengthen data governance and increase data value
  1. Creating and maintaining master data
  • Process master data requests in line with service level agreements and respond to queries in a timely fashion
  • Drives internal control processes and maintains audit trail of requests
  1. Develop end improve master data management
  • Support the implementation of the SAP master data management strategy
  • Maintains data dictionary and business rules
  • Understands the impact of master data for applicable data domains
  • Supports ad-hoc master data queries
  • Identifies patterns within the master data to leverage information to create value


Minimum Experience

  • 5 – 7 years proven formal experience in SAP Master Data management and governance

Ideal Experience

  • SAP S4/Hana, SuccessFactors and Netweaver experience


Minimum Knowledge Required

  • Understanding the full SAP security Systems Development Project Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Best practice in SAP master data management and governance
  • SAP master data elements

Ideal Knowledge Required

  • Financial/Banking Systems
  • Proficiency in MS Excel for analysis of large data sets through formulas and macros
