Our Client in Cape Town requires a Business Objects Administrator for a permanent role. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, upgrade, administration, monitoring, and maintenance of an SAP Business Objects environment. Engaging and collaborating with Data Analyst and Technical Development teams will ensure current and future requirements are met.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Grade 12 / Matric / NQF level 4

Preferred:

  • Diploma / NQF level 6
  • Engineering Sciences in IT and Computer Sciences

Experience

  • Experience working in a distributed SAP Business Objects environment (5 – 7 years)
  • Information Technology Experience of SAP Business Objects implementation(s) and upgrades (5 – 7 years)
  • Information Technology SAP Business Objects configuration in accordance with SAP best practices

Responsibilities

  • Resolve issues arising on a day to day basis as well as during project implementation
  • Conduct performance tuning on an operating system, database and application layer
  • Identify, analyse and troubleshoot performance related issues
  • Conduct quality control checks and auditing of database to ensure the accurate and appropriate use of data
